A lot of the time you can overcome difficulties using your own resources, especially if you have the support of family and friends. It is not always easy to find the right kind of support in the people around you though – friends may have their own problems to deal with and are not able to be there for you right now; or maybe they just don’t know how best to help you. Sometimes it just doesn’t help to hear someone else’s advice; you just need space to work out the best way forward for you.
A qualified and experienced counsellor is equipped to help you in a different way, by offering you a safe, confidential and non-judgmental, unbiased space to work through your difficulties and find new ways of relating to yourself, others and the world.

I am an experienced and accredited counsellor, offering short- and long term therapy in Bristol to men and women aged 18 and over. I work with a wide range of issues, but have a particular interest in working with trauma and have trained in EMDR and Somatic trauma therapy.
